Vertical ground motion has be paid more and more attention in recent years. Previous studies have shown that it has strong correlation with distance, period, site condition, etc. The vertical and horizontal ground motion ratio (V/H) is also affected by these factors. At present, in China's seismic codes, it is simply multiplied by 0.65 in the horizontal ground motion to estimate vertical ground motion, This has a large error. The vertical design response spectrum has been proposed in the U.S. specification. It not only considers the influence of periods, distance, and site conditions on V/H, but also combines the characteristics of the vertical response spectrum itself. This also provides some ideas for the study of vertical ground motion in China, which can focus on the V/H relationship equation and vertical response spectra. This project intends to use the ground motion records in Sichuan Province (Wenchuan Mw 7.9, Lushan Mw 6.8, Jiuzhaigou Mw 6.8, etc.) to fit the attenuation of vertical ground motion and study the influence of different factors on vertical ground motion. Based on this, the V/H relationship equation and the vertical response spectrum would be studied, and a vertical design response spectrum reference curve is proposed. Combined with the previous research and the provisions of seismic codes, the vertical design response spectrum in Sichuan will be developed. One hand, these works can speed up the understanding of the vertical ground motion, and on the other hand, it has certain practical reference value for the amendment of the provisions of the vertical earthquake action in China's seismic codes.
竖向地震动近些年越来越被重视,以往的研究表明它与距离、周期、场地等条件有很强的相关性,竖向与水平向地震动比(V/H)同样受这些因素影响。目前我国的抗震规范中以水平向地震动乘以0.65来估计竖向地震动,这存在较大的误差。美国规范已经提出了竖向设计反应谱,不仅考虑了周期、距离、场地等条件对V/H的影响,而且结合了竖向反应谱自身的特征。这也给我国竖向地震动的研究提供了一些思路:注重V/H关系式和竖向反应谱的研究。本项目拟利用四川地区的地震记录(汶川Mw 7.9、芦山Mw 6.8、九寨沟Mw 6.8等地震)拟合竖向地震动衰减关系,并研究不同因素对竖向地震动的影响。在此基础上研究V/H的关系式、竖向反应谱的特征,提出竖向设计反应谱参考曲线。并结合以往的研究成果和抗震规范的规定开发四川地区的竖向设计反应谱。这一方面能加快对竖向地震动的认识,另一方面对我国规范中竖向地震作用规定的修正有现实参考价值。
竖向地震动近些年越来越被重视,以往的研究表明它与距离、周期、场地等条件有很强的相关性,竖向与水平向地震动比(V/H)同样受这些因素影响。目前我国的抗震规范中以水平 向地震动乘以0.65来估计竖向地震动,这存在较大的误差。美国规范已经提出了竖向设计反应谱,不仅考虑了周期、距离、场地等条件对V/H的影响,而且结合了竖向反应谱自身的特征。我国的西南地区是一个地震频发的区域,2008年3月建立的中国数字强震观测台网在四川和云南地区获得了大量高质量的强震观测记录(如汶川Mw 7.9、芦山Mw6.8、九寨沟Mw6.8等地震),这为我们研究竖向地震动提供了宝贵的资料。本项目通过该区域的76次地震的1465条记录,以及汶川地震的103条记录,分别回归了该区域的竖向地震动衰减关系、竖向水平向地震动比衰减关系,并在此基础上提出了一个简单的竖向设计反应谱的关系模型。通过该项目研究的结果表明,汶川地震的竖向地震动除受震级和距离影响外,还有着较强的断层效应、场地效应和大震近场的上盘效应。同样V/H也与距离和震级有关,简单的用2/3来表示是不太合理的,《公路桥梁抗震规范》的V/H曲线也应该考虑震级、距离及周期对V/H的影响。竖向地震动反应谱的研究表明竖向地震动反应谱的谱形与水平向有所不同,表现在卓越周期偏小约为0.1s,平台段范围偏小约为0.05~0.15s。最终建议的设计反应谱为三段式,直线上升段(小于0.05s),平台段(0.05~0.15s),指数下降段(大于0.05s)。通过该项目的研究加快了对竖向地震动的认识,也同时对我国规范中竖向地震作用规定的修正有现实意义和理论价值。
