2016年全国群论会议暨暑期学校

To help graduate students and young researchers in group theory know recent development in the area of group theory, Professor Zhang, Jiping in Peking Unversity suggests holding “2016 Conference and Summer School on Group Theory”. With the supporting from dozens of universities, it will be held in Central China Normal University from July 4th, 2016 to July 11th, 2016. We will invite well known professors in group theory to the conference. During the summer school, we will invite famous researchers to give series talks on recent development in various directions in group theory, such as "The Influence of Representations and Numerical Properties of Blocks on Finite Groups", "The Influence of Representations of Finite Groups on the Structure of Finite Groups", " Finite Groups and Geometric Structure"," Fusion Systems" and "Finite Groups and Combinatorics".

为了提高国内研究生和年轻教师的业务水平和科研能力,给研究生和青年教师提供学习、交流和了解国内外关于群论最新研究动态的机会,由北京大学大学数学科学学院张继平倡导和组织,北京大学、山西大学、华中师范大学、华南理工大学和湖北大学等10多所学校将于2016.7.4-2016.7.11在华中师范大学联合主办“2016年全国群论会议暨暑期学校”。这次群论会议将邀请国内外一些知名专家和学者参加并就大家关心的热点问题展开学术讨论。暑期学校将就群论的最新研究动态分专题邀请国内知名专家为研究生和年轻老师做系列讲座， 其中包括块的表示及数论性质对群结构的影响、群的表示对群结构的影响、群与几何结构、融合系、群与组合等专题。

本项目为“2016年全国群论会议暨暑期学校”， 在本项目的支持下我们成功举办了全国群论暑期学校（2016.7.4-2016.7.8）邀请了五位国内群论及表示论的著名专家为年轻学者及研究生开展了主题为：块及其数量性质对群结构的影响、群的表示对群结构的影响、 群的表示与几何结构、融合系统及群与组合的系列专题报告。 参加暑期学校的年轻教师及研究生有80多人，开阔了他们的研究视野 取得了很好的效果。 在2016.7.9-2016.7.11我们成功举办了全国群论会议， 这是有史以来规模最大的一次群论会议， 与会人数超过了150人。作大会报告的有一名来自以色列的外国专家， 两位国家千人计划获得者以及两位国家杰出青年基金获得者。
