This project will aim at the spiritual character of mathematical culture, focus on the essence and spirit of mathematics and excavate its intrinsic value and extensional culture according to university mathematics course.By means of compiling a series of books in three topics which contain History Stories of Calculus, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, this project will draw the outline of a long scroll of math, brimming with cultural creation and brilliance of humanity. Telling the stories of mathematical culture in a vivid and concise language will stimulate the public's interest in the philosophy of math and inherit rational spirit, so as to achieve the purpose of transmitting mathematical culture and popularizing scientific knowledge.. In practical terms, according to the material which has been accumulated and sorted for a long period, the popular science books are divided into the following three topics..1. History Stories of Calculus, which mainly talks about the important issue in the development of mathematics, important guess, shows the research history of ups and downs in the form of short stories, emphasizing Chinese mathematicians; .2. History Stories of Linear Algebra, tells mathematicians life choices in the key moments, reveals the admirable integrity and character with true stories;.3. History Stories of Probability and Statistics, attached to university curriculum content, is especially for the work of Chinese mathematicians and mathematical researchers, in the form of humanistic story, which finally will be summarized to the popular science readings.
本项目针对数学文化的精神品格,围绕大学数学课程,展开数学文化的内涵价值和外延文化的研究。通过出版科普丛书《数学故事》,分为三个专题:《微积分背后的数学故事》、《线性代数背后的数学故事》、《概率论与数理统计背后的数学故事》,强化数学的精神,讲述数学故事,激发公众对数学的兴趣,传承理性精神,实现数学文化传播,达到科普的目的。.1. 微积分历史故事专题:围绕微积分历史发展中的重要问题与实践,用短小精悍的故事呈现跌宕起伏的研究历程,突出理性精神的传承;.2. 线性代数历史故事专题:从历史的角度介绍代数思想的起源与演化,突出对线性代数中概念的文化阐述和构建;.3. 概率论与数理统计历史故事专题:紧贴课程知识内容,特别针对我国数学家及数学研究者所做的工作,以人文故事的形式,汇编数学教育的科普读物。
传承和弘扬数学文化,对于提高全民科学素养,增强当代社会公民的文化自信有着重大意义。针对数学文化的精神品格,展开内涵价值及外延文化的研究。围绕微积分、线性代数、概率论与数理统计背后的数学故事,编写数学文化科普书籍,用生动简洁的语言讲述数学故事,传承理性精神,实现数学文化传播,达到科普的目的。. 本项目组编写并出版书籍《数学秘境追踪》,包含微积分篇、线性代数篇、概率论与数理统计篇三部分内容。开展教学研究,在期刊上发表关于数学文化与数学素养的教学研究论文。项目组在国家科技日报社主办的《科普时报》上开辟“数学文化”专栏,为科普工作提供了实践基地与宣传窗口。正式出版数学文化欣赏数字课程,建设数字化资源以及视频资源。举办2020应用统计研究进展国际学术会议,武汉城市圈数学文化建设与推广学术研讨会,与高等教育出版社联合举办“2020融合创新、加快一流课程与教材建设”研讨会,受邀参加湖北省数学学会公共数学专业委员会2020年学术年会做特邀报告。. 通过书籍出版,举办国际国内会议,传播数学文化,提高学生学习数学的兴趣,增进社会公众对数学的了解和喜爱。书籍拟作为大学文化素养类课程的教材教辅,也作为科普故事,拟推荐给师生及家长。使得数学文化建设成为创新自信、文化自信的重要源泉。
