The project mainly studies origins, scale, attitude and contact zones of the ancient oceanic highs in the melange that is composed of the Xixiang, Sanhuashi and Donghe groups in the South Qinling with the thought and methods of tectonic facies. The sea mounts, an oceanic arc, a volcanic arc, fore-arc wedge and its basic magmatic diapers are distinguished. Late Paleozoic radiolarian fossils are also found in the muddy chert interlayers in the Sanhuashi Group after found in the Sunjiahe Formation of the Xixiang Group. The two groups were believed to be a Precambrian metamorphic complex. Through the determination of the production and collision ages of the highs, formation and collision processes of the ancient oceanic highs in the melange are described.
