Two peaks of electron leak of respiratory chain has been detected by chemiluminenscence method. It was found that the first peak papear very soon after the addition of substrate, the second peak appear quite later. This property has been used for studying the mechanism of ischemia reperfusion. One patent has been applied. Experimentally proved our hypothesis of a cytochrome c mediated electron leak pathway of respiratory chain and the anti-oxidative function of cytochrome c in mitochondria , The paper was published in JBC.
