with the technology of cardiac surgery ,anesthesia and perfusion rised, congenital heart disease ,valve replacement heart transplantation is carried out .this operation is easy to cause ischemia and reperfuaion to injury body. Acupuncture can enforce the body immunological functuion and clear oxygen free radical in cerebral ischemia patients.Survival rate of patients is tightly connected with prophylaxis and treatment of myocardial ischemia during surgical operation. It was proved in our former task of National Natural Fund that acupuncture has a significant effect on the modulation of ischemic myocardium. Because cardiac operation should be taken in low tempture, so the aim of this research is to observe the protective effect on myocardial ischemia by acupuncture combined hypothermia, and to find the probable mechanism. In this study we analysis the relationship between acupuncture combined hypothermia with expression of c-fos and HSPmRNA, and the effect on myocardical energy metabolism, mitochondrion functure. The results are as follows: ①During myocardial ischemia-reperfusion, the increase of venous lactic acid and index of myocardial injury in acupuncture combined hypothermia group is significant lower than controlled group and acupuncture group,HSPmRNA and c-fos gene expression has an increase tendency compared to controlled group. ② The incidence of complication in circulation and psyco-neuro system is obviously lower than general group(14.4%). ③ Nei Guan, Lie Que,and Yun Men point can promote myocardial mitochondria uptake of 99mTc-MIBI in ischemia-reperfusion zone, and reduce the injury of mitochondria. ④ In animal experiments , We observed acupuncture and acupuncture combined hypothermia accelate the elimination of free radical and reduce production of IL-8 and free radical, and cell function is procted by inhibit the combination of myocardial cell and nertrophilic granlocyte. This stagement study concluded that acupuncture has a protective effect on ischemic myocardium,and hypothermia has an assistant action. Acupuncture can accelerate the elimination of free radical and modulate HSPmRNA expression and c-fos gene in myocardial cell.This is the probable mechanism of body protection by acupuncture.
