跨期选择的神经机制及病理研究

Intertemporal choice is that decision makers frequently balance the costs and benefits of decision making processes which occur at different times. As Adam Smith first recognized, such decisions not only affected one's health, wealth, and happiness, but might also determine the economic prosperity of nations. Combining the behavioral, ERP, and fMRI researches with the pathological studies, the project systematically invests cognitive mechanisms, neural basis, influencing factors, and clinical applications of intertemporal choice. In order to achieve the objective, the present researches focus on the basic researches and pathological analysis from the two aspects of strait effect and state effect. We first construct the theoretical framework of cognitive and neural mechanisms of intertemporal choice. From the strait effect perspective, we will study the neural mechanisms of the valuation network, the cognitive control network, and the prospection network of intertemporal choice. Similarly, from the state effect perspective, we will explore the cognitive components, processing mechanism, and influencing factors of intertemporal choice. Finally, from the pathological perspective, we will study the mechanism of psychiatry (e.g., all kinds of addiction, eat and drink too much disease) in intertemporal choice, and then establish the plan of pathological treatments or interventions. Thus, the purpose of the project will have the important significance for the development of psychology, behavioral decision making science, and psychiatry of China. Furthermore, it will provide the theory and practice guidance for the scientific decision making of individual, enterprise and government.

跨期选择是指个体对发生在不同时间的成本与收益进行权衡，进而做出的各种判断和选择。亚当o斯密指出跨期选择不仅影响一个人的健康、财富与整体幸福感，也决定一个国家经济繁荣的程度。本项目利用行为、ERP、fMRI技术以及病理研究结合的手段，系统考察跨期选择的认知机制、神经基础、影响因素和临床机理。拟从决策主体的特质性和状态性因素两条主线来展开基础研究和病理分析，重点：（1）研究时间感知、冲动性与控制能力以及预期想象等特质性因素对跨期选择作用的认知神经机制；（2）考察情绪状态、经济状况、生理需求等状态性因素对跨期选择影响的认知神经机制；（3）从特质性和状态性两方面来研究具有跨期选择障碍的精神疾病（如各类成瘾行为、暴饮暴食症等）的机理，制定治疗或干预的临床实验方案。本项目的研究对于中国的心理学、行为决策学、精神病学的发展具有重要意义，为提高个体、企业和政府的决策科学性提供理论和实践指导。

跨期选择是指个体对发生在不同时间的成本与收益进行权衡，进而做出的各种判断和选择。为什么人们在跨期选择中会表现出冲动性行为？怎样才能让人“目光远大”, 而避免“鼠目寸光”呢？这些都是跨期选择研究力求解决的问题。跨期选择研究已成为当今国际上行为决策学、心理学、神经经济学和精神病理学领域一个新的研究热点。本项目组利用行为、ERP、多模态MRI等技术, 从特质性和状态性研究角度出发, 系统考察跨期选择的认知机制、神经基础、影响因素及临床机理。具体表现为：（1）进一步探明了跨期选择的神经基础及运行机制，包括价值评估网络（腹内侧前额叶（VMPFC）、腹侧纹状体（VS）、扣带后回（PCC）等脑区）、认知控制网络（背外侧前额叶（DLPFC），额下回（IFG）等脑区）和预期想象网络（海马（HPC），海马旁回（PHPC）等脑区）；（2）从特质性角度, 系统研究了时间感知、自我控制、预期想象以及调控方式对跨期选择作用的认知神经机制，发现时间感知、预期想象、调控方式主要通过改变评估阶段的远期价值表征来影响跨期选择，而自我控制主要在选择阶段起调控作用；（3）从状态性角度, 考察了情绪状态、经济状况、表征方式、风险因素及决策信心等对跨期选择影响的认知神经机制，发现情绪及预期情绪起着核心调控作用，因而提出了“预期情绪驱动理论”；（4）从预期想象能力、自我控制、工作记忆角度探究了跨期选择的可塑性，并开发了相应的干预方案。本课题组的研究对于跨期选择认知与神经机制的理论建构具有重要的科学价值, 对于跨期选择的可塑性及临床应用也有重要的指导意义。
