Thripidae is the largest one among eight families of Terebrantia, also is the most important family which comprised of the agricultural pest thrips species of Thysanoptera. More than 2000 species representing 303 genera of Thripidae were recorded around the world. Direct damage caused by feeding of sucking mouth of important pest thrips, above all the great economic damage resulted from transmitting plant virus by thrips vectors. At present, systematic and further study on the species composition and distribution of Thripidae insect in southwestern China is still very poor, and less than one-fouth of known thrips species in China were recorded in this areas. Thrips are very tiny in body size, and just could be identified to species correctly only by the good slide specimens. Thripidae insects will be collected systematically in southwestern China in the project, to discover undescribed new species,to study the species composition and distribution of Thripidae insect systematically, and to complete the revision of taxonomic category depending on the current specimens accumulation, the skilled technique of the permanent slide preparation and the experience of taxonomy, which will reveal the species diversity of Thripidae in this areas. The study will define the species composition and distribution of the pest thrips, especially the agricultural thrips vectors, which has very important significance for pest thrips management,also will enhance the status of Chinese Thysanoptera research, and the research team in thrips would be organized and the research capability in Chinese on Thysanoptera will be increased.
蓟马科是锥尾亚目8科中最大的科,也是缨翅目中包含农业害虫种类最多的科,全世界已记录303属2000余种;农业重大有害蓟马除了锉吸植物汁液造成直接危害外,更重要的是传播植物病毒,对农业生产造成严重经济损失。目前,中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫的分类及其分布情况尚缺乏系统而深入的研究,已记录种类不足我国已知种类的四分之一。该类群昆虫体型微小,要靠高质量的玻片标本才能准确鉴定到种。本项目拟对中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫进行系统调查取样,依托现有的标本积累、成熟的玻片制作技术和分类经验,重点研究该类群的种类组成及其分布情况,挖掘新种,完成相关阶元的分类修订,以期揭示蓟马科昆虫在该区域的物种多样性。本项目研究,可查清中国西南地区农业重要有害蓟马,特别是弄清存在的和潜在的传毒蓟马种类组成及分布,对指导农业有害蓟马的防治工作具有重要意义;同时亦可提高我国对该类群在国际上的研究地位,并可壮大我国从事缨翅目类群的研究队伍。
蓟马科是锥尾亚目8科中最大的科,也是缨翅目中包含农业害虫种类最多的科,全世界已记录307属2100余种;农业重大有害蓟马除了锉吸植物汁液造成直接危害外,更重要的是传播植物病毒,对农业生产造成严重经济损失。中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫的分类及其分布情况尚缺乏系统而深入的研究,已记录种类不足我国已知种类的四分之一。该类群昆虫体型微小,要靠高质量的玻片标本才能准确鉴定到种。本项目对中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫进行系统调查取样,重点研究该类群的种类组成及其分布情况,以揭示蓟马科昆虫在该区域的物种多样性。.系统采集中国西南地区各种生境下的蓟马科昆虫标本,重点采集横断山区、云贵高原区域、滇南西双版纳和滇西南哀牢山等生物多样性极其丰富但却罕有蓟马科昆虫记载区域的标本,并普遍收集各省市各类农业作物上的蓟马标本,在室内制作高质量的永久性蓟马玻片标本,并在显微镜下进行鉴定和拍照。对新分类阶元进行描述、命名或对已知分类阶元进行修正或重新描述。.本项目研究于2015-2018年对云南、四川、贵州和重庆市进行了系统采集,重点采集了云南省西双版纳热带植物园,高黎贡山,贵州省梵净山等生物多样性丰富的地区,采集并制作蓟马科昆虫标本共10000余片,结合本实验室已累积的该地区蓟马科标本,共鉴定蓟马科昆虫4亚科90属约270种,编制了中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫已知属分属检索表及中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫已知种类名录,描述命名1新属(五加针蓟马属Araliacothrips),8新种(大围山五加针蓟马Araliacothrips daweishanensis,柳丹蓟马Danothrips salics,贡山喙蓟马Mycterothrips gongshanensis,夜郎喙蓟马M.yelangi,黄檀长嘴蓟马Rhamphothrips dalbergiae,五月茶异色蓟马Trichromothrips antidesmae,蒙氏异色蓟马T. moundi,贵州异色蓟马T. guizhouensis),发现中国新纪录16属62种,标注基金资助的学术论文发表16篇,其中SCI 7篇,一级学报1篇。本研究揭示中国西南地区蓟马科昆虫的物种多样性组成和分布,对丰富该区乃至东洋区蓟马物种多样性以及指导农业有害蓟马的防治工作,促进缨翅目研究工作在我国的深入开展具有重要意义,提高我国对缨翅目昆虫研究在国际上的地位。
