Following physical results have been obtained over the last three years: 1) Tow new nuclides, 149Yb and predicted proton drip-line nucleus 142Ho in the heavy rare-earth region near the proton drip line have been synthesized for the first time with 40Ca beam bombarding the low melting-point targets 106Cd and 112Sn. Their beta-delayed proton decays have been studied by using "p-γ" coincidence measurements in combination with a modified He-jet tape transport system and a target chamber with cooling and rotating function; 2) The beta-delayed proton decays of 93Pd and 92Rh near the N = Z line have been observed. 93Pd was predicted as a "waiting point" nucleus in the rp-process by nuclear astrophysicists; 3) The (EC+β+) decay schemes of very neutron-deficient nuclei 133Sm, 130Nd, 140Tb and 143Dy have been proposed for the first time. 13 published articles have been embodied by SCI, including 7 articles published in foreign journals. Synthesis and study of new nuclides 142Ho and 149Yb were listed in the 8 important achievements made by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2002 which was pointed out in a meeting organized by the Committee of Communist Party of CAS. The above results with the previous results published since 1998 together won a first class prize of Science and Technology of Gansu province in 2002. For these reasons, the responsible person of the project, Xu Shu-Wei, was invited to give talks by four different international symposium or conference held in Europe or USA. One of the international symposium nominated Xu Shu-Wei as a member of its international advisory committee.
研制了一套以Z为主的、取代国际流行的以A为主的核素分离鉴别装置。五年来用该装置测定了五个延发质子新核素和九个新衰变纲图。今后要提高设备运行效率,完善指定核素A的方ǎ绿峁┑母氐腁r-36,Ca-40和Ni-58束流,在未来三年再合成五、六个新核素、建立十来个新纲图,并进行系统的物理分析,使我国在90<A<160质子滴线区研究居于国际前列。
