Zebrafish is a relatively new and booming vertebrate animal model. In the past three decades, zebrafish has been applied in various areas of life science, as well as health sciences, environmental studies and aquaculture researchs. Zebrafish research in China is in the high speed development. In the last fifteen years, Chinese research labs have developed and collected a lot of zebrafish strains. This project plans to develop a zebrafish strain management and data sharing system with our own independent intellectual property right, “the China Zebrafish Data System”, which will be offered to all zebrafish labs in China for free. This system will not only achieve the automatic management of zebrafish resources and services at CZRC, but also provide independent and customizable management system of fish lines and fish facilities to research laboratories. At the same time, the system will introduce a mobile application into the daily operation and therefore finally realize the digital, networked, and real-time management of zebrafish resources. This system will greatly improve the managament and service performance of China Zebrafish Resource Center, and enhance the management efficiency and the strain safety in all zebrafish laboratories in China. In addition, this system will help integrate our strain resources and stimulate a faster growth of Chinese zebrafish research.
在过去的30年中,斑马鱼作为新兴的模式动物已被广泛应用于生命科学、健康科学、环境农业等诸多科研领域。我国的斑马鱼研究在过去15年中发展迅速,并创制和收集了大量斑马鱼品系。本申报项目将依托国家斑马鱼资源中心的资源和力量,利用最新的数据库语言,建设我国自主知识产权的斑马鱼品系管理和信息分享数据系统——“中国斑马鱼数据系统”,并将这一系统免费对中国所有斑马鱼研究实验室开放。该系统将不仅实现国家斑马鱼资源中心资源管理和服务的自动化,并且为领域内的科研实验室提供可自主定制的品系及鱼房管理系统,同时该系统将引入移动互联网应用程序,实现斑马鱼研究品系的数字化、网络化和实时化管理。该系统的建设将大大提高我国斑马鱼领域的管理水平和研究效率,有效地整合我国斑马鱼相关科研资源,有力保障国家斑马鱼资源中心为我国斑马鱼研究学者提供一流服务。
