There are huge numbers of lakes in Tibetan Area, they are scattered all over the area. Among of them, it is about 612 lakes which exceeds the area of one square kilometers. Such lakes are significant natural resources. If the management and the development are all under the scientific and reasonable control, it may benefit well not only to Tibetan Area, but also to the neighboring countries and the areas around. More importmantly, along with economic and social development of Tibet, it will be faced that how to scientific monitoring and protect the living beings and the ecosystem, how to avoid and treat from the pollution in the lakes. It is crucial to solve those problems, but the first thing to do is to totall understand the basic situation of lakes such as the properties of water circulation system. The main driving process such as the flow etc can make direct affect to the atmosphere, the matter exchange on the boundaries between water and the soil, the transfer and the inversion of the different matter of the water body. .This project is to study the basis of the lake resources in Tibet, it is started from Namtso Lake. The plan is to build up the three dimensional circulation model of Namtso Lake by using the ocean model BOM for reference and study some spicific numerical methods in order to enhance the precision and accuracy. The abundant basic data are very necessary and the some very different numerical simulation of the circulation is going to carry out.
西藏的湖泊星罗棋布,数以千计,其中面积大于1平方公里的湖泊就有612个。如此丰富的湖泊自然资源,如果能够科学管理以及合理地开发和利用,不仅对西藏,而且对我国西南、西北以及毗邻地区国民经济的发展都会起到非常重要的作用。更重要的是随着西藏经济和社会的跨越式发展,将要面临湖泊自然资源的科学监控、湖泊生物和生态系统的保护以及湖泊环境污染防治等问题。要解决好这些问题,首先要全面了解和掌握湖泊的基本情况。而湖泊水动力学研究是湖泊研究的一个重要方面,其主要动力过程如湖流等对大气、水土界面的物质交换和水体中各种物质、能力的传输及转化过程有着直接影响。本项目从纳木错湖入手,旨在着手从事西藏湖泊自然资源的基础研究。拟通过借鉴海洋数学模型BOM的建构理论和方法建立研究纳木错湖水动力特征的三维数学模型。通过采集和充实基础数据、改进数值模拟方法完善模型,模拟研究纳木措湖的动力循环过程。
