Lots of human and animal diseases are caused by Lentivirus. All countries have paid high attention to it. Sequence analysis showed that JDV,one kind of bovine lentivirus, LTR contained many potential transcriptional response elements. The response element AP4 lies in the nucleotides spanning from -65 to -60 and its sequence is CAGCTG;AP4 protein binds JDV LTR directly and has both positive and negative effection on the transcription of JDV LTR according to its quantity.The mutants of AP4 response element affect the transcript of JDV LTR.JDV Tat can transact BIV, BFV and BLV LTR.So the interaction of different viruses may be the important reason of diseases caused by virus.The importance of above results is they are helpful for studying the machanism of lentivirus gene regulation and the interaction of lentivirus with its host ;they are helpful for research on interaction of different viruses and will improve further molecular biology research of lentivirus.
