Yponomeutidae is one of the important families in Lepidoptera, with great economic significance in forestry. However the only known 21 species in six genera in China were reported by foreign scholars in the early years of last century, and for a long time only about 20 species were reported repeatedly or sporadically prior to our study. After years of efforts, we have collected a large number of specimens and have accumulated a wealth of research experience. Presently we have recognized about 100 species in 20 genera under four subfamilies of Yponomeutidae in China. As our country is vast in territory, the ambiguous situation of yponomeutid species identification has not completely changed yet, which still severely restricts the development of related disciplines. This project focuses on the systematic and zoogeographic study of the Chinese Yponomeutidae by using modern systematic methods and techniques. We aim at identifying and discovering new species, clarifying the long-standing chaos of the classification systems, and establishing the identification system in China; and we also aim at making a comprehensive analysis of the distribution patterns of various groups and explaining the overall distribution laws of Yponomeutidae in China.. This study will have a positive effect in the species identification and the species resources investigation, as well as in improving the evolution theory and exploring the distribution patterns of species diversity. It will provide a scientific basis for effective integrated pest management, and will be of great value and scientific significance in the fundamental science and practical application.
巢蛾科是鳞翅目最重要的科之一,在林业方面有重要经济意义。经统计,早年国外学者曾报道中国巢蛾6属21种。但长期以来国内对该科仅有零散报导,各类书刊总共涉及不到20种。经过多年努力,课题组积累了大量的标本和丰富的研究经验,已使中国巢蛾科增加到4亚科20属近百种。但我国地域辽阔,巢蛾科种类不清的状况尚未根本改变,仍然严重地制约着相关学科的发展。本项目运用现代系统学方法技术对我国巢蛾科进行系统分类和动物地理学研究:查清和发现新的种类,澄清分类系统中长期存在的混乱,建立中国巢蛾科鉴定体系;全面分析各类群的分布格局,阐明总体分布规律。本项研究在发现和查清物种资源和完善进化理论与探索物种多样性分布规律等方面有积极作用,可为害虫的有效治理提供科学依据,在基础科学和生产应用方面均有重要价值和科学意义。
本项目完成了中国巢蛾科系统分类研究。通过培养人才和编撰出版《中国小蛾类名录》为建立鉴定体系及分类数据库奠定了基础。为阐明巢蛾总科主要类群的系统发育关系拓宽了研究范围,同时进行了巢蛾总科的菜蛾科、银蛾科、伪巢蛾科和冠翅蛾科的系统分类学研究。澄清这些类群存在的混乱,摸清了主要类群的分布格局。共记述5科33属251种,包括8个中国新记录属,1个新属,116个新种,21个中国新纪录种。查清了主要类群的物种资源,为相关学科的发展和重要农林害虫的综合治理提供科学依据。在本专业国际知名刊物发表27篇(部)。
