Most stars form in clusters, where dynamical encounters are common. It is unknown how this affects young planetary systems, and if this can explain the peculiar architecture of observed exoplanet systems. I plan to study the formation and evolution of planetary systems by combining the results of complex numerical simulations with deep, high-resolution observations.
