Studying on the pattern of geotectonics before rifting-spreading of the South China Sea is the key to uncover the mechanism of the formation of the South China Sea. In order to probe the constraints of tectonic deformation mechanism of Qiongnan (i.e. Southern Hainan) suture zone, which was near the initial rift - expansion site of the South China Sea, to the formation mechanism of the South China Sea, this project intends to focus on the different deformation mechanism of different sections of the Qiongnan suture zone to carry out research work. The project will make full use of rich marine multichannel seismic reflection profiles and gravity-magnetic prospecting data, analyse the Middle-Late Mesozoic deformation mechanism of fold-thrust fault tectonic system of the ancient Shuangfeng-Bijia orogenic belt in the eastern Qiongnan suture zone; and using of analysis on the nano structure of ductile shear tectonites from the Jiusuo-Lingshui fault zone of western Qiongnan suture belt to further explore the mechanism of ultra micro tectonic deformation of the Qiongnan suture zone; combinating rich Cenozoic extensional tectonic features of Qiongnan suture zone to inquire into the tectonic negative inversion mechanism of Qiongnan suture zone in Cenozoic, especially to inquire into the Cenozoic extensional-collapse mechanism of the paleo orogenic belt which distributed along the Qiongnan suture zone and the extensional-collapse’s inducing effects on the rift – spreading of the South China Sea. So as to provide a scientific basis for the study of the formation mechanism of the South China Sea, and provide guidance with regional tectonics for the exploration and development of oil and gas and other resources in the South China Sea.
南海裂谷-扩张前的大地构造格局研究是揭开南海形成机制的关键所在。为了探索南海最初裂谷-扩张地附近的琼南缝合带的构造变形机制对南海形成机制的制约作用,本申请项目拟围绕琼南缝合带不同段落不同变形机制开展研究工作。项目将充分利用丰富的海上多道反射地震勘探剖面资料和重力-磁力勘探资料,分析琼南缝合带东段的古双峰-笔架造山带中生代中晚期褶皱-冲断构造体系的变形机制,利用琼南缝合带西段九所-陵水断裂带中韧性剪切构造岩的纳米构造分析进一步探索琼南缝合带超微观构造变形机制,结合丰富的新生代以来伸展构造特征探讨琼南缝合带在新生代的构造负反转作用机制,尤其是沿琼南缝合带分布的古造山带在新生代以来的垮塌-伸展机制及其对南海裂谷-扩张的诱发作用。从而为南海形成机制研究提供科学依据,为南海油气等矿产资源勘探开发提供区域大地构造上的指导。
为了探索南海最初裂谷-扩张地附近的琼南缝合带的构造变形特征对南海形成机制的制约作用,本项目围绕琼南缝合带不同段落不同变形机制开展研究工作。项目充分利用大量的海上多道反射地震勘探剖面资料和重力、磁力勘探资料,分析了琼南缝合带东段的古双峰-笔架造山带中生代伸展-冲断-褶皱-推覆-伸展体系变形机制;利用琼南缝合带西段九所-陵水断裂带中韧性剪切构造岩的露头-纳米尺度上的构造分析结果,结合大量的新生代以来伸展构造特征探讨了琼南缝合带在新生代的构造负反转作用机制,尤其是沿琼南缝合带分布的古造山带在新生代以来的垮塌-伸展机制及其对南海裂谷-扩张的诱发作用。获得了对芒三韧性剪切带和小妹韧性剪切带运动学的野外特征、芒三和小妹韧性剪切带锆石 U-Pb 年代学特征、古双峰-笔架碰撞造山带构造变形的分区特征、古双峰-笔架碰撞造山带北翼西段同造山期构造-岩浆活动年代学特征、古双峰-笔架碰撞造山带北翼西段同造山期纳米构造特征、古双峰-笔架碰撞造山带岩浆活动-韧性剪切变形期次特征、印支期小妹剪切带纳米颗粒的成因和成分特征的基本认识,提出了“古长龙缝合带”这一新的大地构造单元概念,初步建立了与琼南缝合带和古长龙缝合带相关联的古双峰-笔架-古长龙俯冲-碰撞造山带的基本构造格局。为南海形成机制研究提供了南海裂谷-扩张前的大地构造依据,为南海地区新生代含油气沉积盆地的裂陷机制、成盆动力学机理、盆地构造的形成演化过程、油气等矿产资源成藏地质条件等应用基础地质研究提供了区域大地构造和基底构造格局上的一级控制要素资料;可为推进我国海洋地质科学全面发展、助力“一带一路”战略的实施贡献力量;还可为南海地质构造、纳米地质构造、碰撞造山带、特提斯构造域、大地构造等方面的有关院校师生、科研院所科技工作者和爱好者提供参考。
