This special symposium by Tianyuan is a special scientific training course for the graduates, young teachers and other researchers, and help them to understand functional differential equations and applications.It is a three-week course, which is from July 21 to August 9. We invite six experts who are well-knownscientists and have made a lot of outstanding works in functional differential equations. They will give lessons systematically and explicitly on the basic theory,applications and recent advances on functional differential equations, which include: applications in biological mathematics for functional differential equations, research on the behavior of solutions of partial functional differential equations (diffusion equations, schrodinger equations), applying the equivariant degree theory to Hopf bifurcation. By the special symposium, we aim to help the graduate students and young researchers to know the hot research fields, the main methods and the popular tools in functional differential equations, and guide them into the advanced science. Also, we will train some young researchers to research on functional differential equations, and then development to theory and applications of functional differential equations by this special symposium.
本次天元数学专题讲习班是面向研究生、青年教师以及相关研究人员的一次泛函微分方程专题学习培训班,计划从7月21日到8月9日共计3周时间。我们将邀请六位著名的泛函微分方程专家为我们系统地、详细地讲解泛函微分方程基本理论、应用及最新研究方法,包括:泛函微分方程在生物数学中的应用,偏泛函微分方程(扩散方程、薛定谔方程)解的性态研究,等变度方法在Hopf分支的应用等。通过本次专题讲习班的学习,使研究生及青年学者了解当今泛函微分方程研究的热点、主要方法及所使用的现代工具,引导他们进入研究的前沿。同时,本次专题讲习班的开展,培养一批研究泛函微分方程的青年人才,从而起到发展泛函微分方程的理论和应用研究的作用。
