It is very important to study the urban boundary layer (UBL). Until now, scientists don not know much about the fine structure of turbulence in the lower part of UBL, i.e. urban canopy layer. In this project, we will use the advanced atmospheric turbulence measuring system and the newly developed chaos, fractal and wavelet transform theory to deeply study the fine structures of urban canopy layer turbulent flow. The final research results of the project will be expected to be useful to the study of land-air interaction, air pollution modeling and even the basic turbulence theory.
