Global warming and its consequences have been one of hot topics for international geoscientists. This project will choose Lake Tiancai (Lijiang, Yunnan) and Lake Wuxuhai (Jiulong, Sichuan), which are both located in the Indian Summer Monsoon (ISM) realm as our objectives. Based on the high resolution chronology, quantitative temperature reconstruction from chironomid-temperature inference model and multi-proxy analyses including sedimentological, geochemical and geobiological (chironomid and pollen) methods are going to be applied to reveal history of the ISM since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). The purpose of this research is to identify the variations of abrupt temperature change since the LGM, to analyze the feature of climate abrupt change including change rate, range and duration, and to explore the response of lake ecosystem to the temperature abrupt changes during the geological history.
全球气候变暖及其环境效应问题一直是国际学术界争论的热点。本项目选择西南季风区树线附近的高山湖泊滇西北丽江天才湖和川西九龙伍须海,通过高分辨率的钻孔沉积物年代学、沉积学、地球化学、生物学(摇蚊与孢粉)多学科交叉研究,利用摇蚊-夏季温度转换函数,定量重建古温度变化过程,通过多指标综合分析研究末次盛冰期以来西南季风古气候演化历史,识别末次盛冰期以来增温、降温等气候突变事件,分析各气候突变事件的变率、变幅和持续时间,并探讨湖泊生物多样性变化对地质历史时期增温/降温及各气候突变事件的响应。
