As porous structure is one of the vital parts of coastal structures, such as rubble-mound breakwater, submerged permeable breakwater and so on. Studying the wave interaction with porous structure is important for the evaluating the stability of whole coastal structures. The wave energy can be dissipated by porous structures greatly and the construction price of porous structures is much lower than similar solid coastal structures. So it’s necessary to study the wave interaction with porous structures. However, the flow outside and inside the porous structure is complicated. As Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) is a simple and attractive meshless Lagrangian particle method for simulating free surface flows, the SPH model will be applied to study this problem to investigate the flow motion in and around the porous structure. In order to describe correctly the flow through the interface between the porous region and pure fluid region within the SPH framework, a heuristic and boundary treatment method will be proposed. The linear and nonlinear coefficients in the drag force equations will be reconsidered under the Lagrangian method. Turbulence model will be added into the SPH model for the turbulence effect. The SPH model will be validated against the theoretical data and the experiment data. After demonstrating that the improved ISPH model is capable of modelling the wave interaction with porous structure, the study of fluid impact on different porous structures will be carried out and is therefore of significant importance for understanding the underlying physics of the hydrodynamic phenomena, evaluating the structure stability.
海岸防护工程中存在大量的孔隙结构体,如防波堤护面层、抛石防波堤、透水潜堤等。研究这类孔隙结构物与波浪的相互作用是海岸防护的重要方面,也是海岸工程学的重要课题,具有重要的现实价值。为此,本项目拟基于无网格技术,应用光滑质点水动力学法(SPH)建立适用于研究近岸孔隙结构物与波浪相互作用的数值模型,关键创新点包括优化孔隙摩阻力计算方法、耦合多尺度湍流模型、设置合理孔隙边界条件等。然后,利用所建立模型开展波浪与不同类型近岸孔隙结构物相互作用的模拟研究,通过与已发表实验和数值结果对比,验证模型的准确性。在此基础上,进一步探讨近岸孔隙结构物在波浪作用下的周围流场特征、受力情况及其稳定性,并最终为设计高效经济的海岸防护工程提供指导。
