The investigation on breeding and transmutation of nuclear fuel in advanced nuclear energy system (ANES), as the basis, key point and frontier of modern nuclear science, is a significant scientific disposal in our country for developing nuclear energy to suffice energy needs and to face up to global climate change. The major research plan will deal with the breeding and transmutation of nuclear fuel prospectively and innovatively based on research situation and trend in China and abroad, as well as guidelines on medium and long-term plans for national nuclear development. The central scientific problems are focused on: 1.Uranium/thorium/plutonium nuclear fuel and their nuclear processes in ANES; 2.The basic behavior and breeding of nuclear fuel during burning in advanced reactor; 3. New methods and new mechanisms in spent fuel reprocessing and transmutation. The major research plan is aimed at developing new mechanisms, new methods, new technology and new materials in ANES, training high level talents and improving our status in international nuclear energy field, which promises to provide necessary scientific evidence and technical and talent support for founding of advanced nuclear energy system. The program is used to support.investigation and communication of expert group for the major research plan “The breeding and transmutation of nuclear fuel in advanced nuclear energy system”.
先进核裂变能体系中核燃料增殖与嬗变的研究,是现代核能科学的基础、关键和前沿,是我国面向发展核能以满足能源需求和应对全球气候变化战略规划的重大科学部署。本重大研究计划根据国内外研究现状和发展趋势以及国家能源发展中长期规划,围绕核燃料增殖与嬗变这一重大方向进行前瞻布局,开展创新性研究,拟解决的核心科学问题如下:1.先进核能体系中的铀钍钚核燃料及其核过程;2.核燃料在先进反应堆燃烧过程中的基本行为及其增殖;3.乏燃料后处理及嬗变的新方法与新机理。争取重大创新突破,探索和发展先进核裂变能体系中的新机理、新方法、新技术、新材料,培养和扩充高水平研究人才队伍,使我国在国际上该领域的前沿研究中占有一席之地,为建立具有创新能力和自主知识产权的核能产业体系提供必需的科学依据、技术积累和人才支持。本项目用于支持重大研究计划《先进核裂变能的燃料增殖与嬗变》专家组调研和学术交流。
