面向多流形分析的贝叶斯稀疏低秩研究

Although there is an increasing interest in multi-manifold structure analysis, few research puts emphasis on the mixture models of nonlinear manifolds. Most of the existing work focuses on the mixture models of linear subspaces, where some problems are still remaining to be solved. For instance, how to choose the parameter in models incorporating both sparsity and low rankness is still not clear. Bayesian multi-manifold methods are usually capable of automatically learning the model parameters, but seldom consider the property of sparsity and low rankness. Hence in this project we will focus on the analysis of multi-manifold structure combining sparsity and low rankness with Bayesian methodologies. We plan to start from linear cases and gradually dig into nonlinear cases. Throughout this project we aim to achieve breakthroughs in the following three aspects: dense penalty based sparse representation, subspace learning based low-rank representation and Bayesian multi-manifold structure analysis. We also aim to propose effective analysis tools for data with multi-manifold structure. Possible applications involve semi-supervised learning, motion segmentation, face recognition, texture clustering, etc.

近年来，数据的多流形结构分析受到学者们的广泛关注，但是现有的研究工作很少涉及数据的混合非线性流形结构分析，目前的研究主要集中在数据的混合线性流形结构分析方面，不过尚存在一些待解决的问题，例如：稀疏低秩模型中存在参数选择问题，贝叶斯的方法可学习参数，但是却很少考虑稀疏低秩的性质来分析具有多流形结构的数据。本项目拟围绕数据的混合多流形结构分析，采用从线性到非线性逐步递进，将传统的稀疏、低秩与贝叶斯方法相结合的方式，重点研究基于稠密惩罚的稀疏表示、基于空间学习的低秩表示、基于贝叶斯的多流形结构分析三个方面，力图给出有效的数据混合多流形结构分析方法，并应用在半监督学习、运动分割、人脸识别、纹理聚类等应用问题中。

数据的混合多流形结构分析问题一直是近二十年来的研究热点，项目组针对当前研究中存在的一些问题主要从稠密惩罚的稀疏表示、基于空间学习的低秩表示、基于贝叶斯的多流形结构分析三个方面进行了研究。此外，同时随着深度学习的兴起和多模态数据的出现，增加了多流形结构数据的深度学习方法和多模态数据的本质结构分析等方面的研究。提出了很多有效的数据本质几何结构分析算法，取得了很好的效果，应用到了人脸聚类，图像聚类，基于图的半监督学习，点云法向估计等问题中。三年来，项目组成员团结协作，共发表论文14篇，其中SCI检索10篇，其中包括Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks等在国际上认可度较好的期刊，在最新的中科院JCR分区中Pattern Recognition被分在一区，且是top期刊。此外，发表国内核心期刊论文3篇，国际会议论文1篇并做报告1次，国内会议论文1篇并做报告1次。培养硕士研究生毕业1人。项目负责人先后入选辽宁省百千万人才工程万人层次，大连市青年科技之星和辽宁省“兴辽英才计划”青年拔尖人才。
