Based on experimental study and analysis of the results, it is revealed that cementitious minerals formed by alumina- limestone -gypsum-mineralizer system are C12A7, 3C2S·3CaSO4·CaF2, Ⅱ-CaSO4 and CaO at 850~1100℃and the mineralizers(CaF2 and CaCl2·2H2O)contribute to speeding up the decomposition of limestone and promoting the formation of C12A7. The hydration properties of the cementitious material, which is mainly comprised of cementitious minerals formed at about 900℃ and anhydrite(or lime) and additional agent, has been deeply studied. During the period of research, it is found that hydration of 3C2S·3CaSO4·CaF2 is slowly carried out at room temperature, however, the C-S-H can be quickly formed by adding C12A7. In addition, it is also found that C12A7 can be completely hydrated into ettringite crystal after 7d at room temperature. The cementitious material can be used for backfill. Based on the results, new research has been successfully conducting in improving the properties of slags from coal burning. One patent has been applied in Chinese patent office.
