With the support of NSFC, three aspects were researched in the.project. The first aspect was improving the SAR imaging quality by signal.processing methods, the second aspect was the ISAR imaging and the detection and.imaging of slow ground moving target, the third aspect was understanding of SAR.image and target feature extraction. Many good results have been obtained in the.Project, especially, in high resolution, large scene and high squint SAR imaging; in.SAR imaging when the airplane flies unsteadily and precision of motion parameters.measured by navigational instruments cannot satisfy the requirement of motion.compensation; in ISAR imaging of maneuvering target; in the application of.principal components and wavelet analysis in image understanding and feature.extraction. Many imaging algorithms that can improve image quality distinctly have.been brought forward in the project, tens paper have been published at home and.abroad periodicals, and several imaging processor (or software) have been developed.for research institutes to help them improving imaging quality.
