Microplastics may pose risks to marine ecosystem because of their small size, high abundance, ubiquitous distribution and easily ingestion by marine organisms such as fish, shellfish, etc. The international research reports focused on microplastics pollution in inland river environment have rapidly increased recently, but only a few relevant papers can be found in China. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to (1) investigate the types, size, abundance, distribution and the factors affecting the occurrence of microplastics in the Li River by flotation, separation and identification methods; (2) investigate the interaction between microplastics and other freshwater contaminants such as persistent organic pollutants and heavy metals; (3) to identify the composition of bacterial assemblages adhered onto the surface of microplastics Under the influence of morphology characteristics and associated substance; (4) to investigate the accumulation of microplastics in different Li River organisms. The results will provide the methodology and scientific data for further investigations on the microplastic pollution and its ecological risks in the urban river environment.
环境中的微塑料作为一种新型污染物近年来已逐渐受到国内外的关注。由于其颗粒小、数量多、分布广且易于被水生生物体摄食,构成生态风险。国际上,近年来有关内陆河流水环境微塑料污染研究的报道逐渐增加,而我国尚处于起步阶段。本研究选择我国广西桂林漓江及主要支流为研究区域,通过微塑料样品采集、浮选、分离及鉴别,率先研究桂林地区漓江水环境中微塑料的类型、粒径、丰度、分布及其影响因素;分析河流淡水环境中微塑料与持久性有机物及重金属的相互关系;研究微塑料形貌特征及表面附着物质对微塑料表面微生物群落结构的影响;初步探明城市河流淡水生物体中微塑料的积累状况,在方法学和基础数据方面为我国内陆河流水环境中微塑料污染及其生态风险研究提供科学依据。
