Cold stress in most parts of China is one of the most popular winter stress factors, which often causes changes in the immune status (immune enhancement or immune suppression) and induction of oxidative stress, further deceases the animal production performance and feed utilization, increases mortality. Only for the poultry industry, China's annual losses attained nearly 500 million Yuan. Arginine has a very important positive effect on immune function, mainly by up-regulating of immunosuppression and down-regulating excessive inflammatory response to maintain the balance of the immune as an immune function of the stabilizer. In addition, arginine has anti-oxidative stress effect. Therefore, the research intends to take You xian duck as animal model to determine the production performance, endocrine hormones, immune and oxidative stress indicators by application of ELISA, Western blotting and real-time PCR, radioimmunoassay, biochemical detection technology, aimed to investigate the influence and mechanism of arginine supplementation in diet on the production performance, immune and antioxidant function of You xian duck under cold stress condition, provide a viable nutrition solution to weaken the adverse effects of cold stress on You xian duck and other livestock.
冷应激是我国大部分地区冬天一种最普遍的应激因素,常引起机体免疫状态改变(免疫增强或免疫抑制)和诱导氧化应激,从而引起动物生产性能和饲料利用率降低,发病率和死亡率升高,仅家禽业我国年损失达到近5亿元。精氨酸对机体免疫功能具有非常重要的积极作用,主要通过上调免疫抑制和下调过高的炎症反应以维持机体免疫平衡,具有免疫稳定剂的功能,其次,精氨酸具有抗氧化应激效应。因此,本项目拟以攸县麻鸭为动物模型,应用ELISA抗体检测、Western blotting、Real-time PCR、放射性免疫、生化检测等技术,通过对生产性能、内分泌激素、免疫和氧化应激指标的测定,初步探讨日粮添加精氨酸对冷应激下攸县麻鸭的生产性能、免疫、抗氧化功能的影响及其作用机理,为减弱冷应激对攸县麻鸭和其它畜禽的负面影响提供一种可行的营养解决方案。
