Here we provided more than 3000 oxygen and carbon isotope data with 59 precise TIMS-U series dating ages from five stalagmites collected from Hulu Cave at Tangshan near Nanjing for reconstructing a history of the East Asian monsoon over a period from 11 to 75kaBP. Our reconstructed high-resolution monsoon record shows sub-orbital time scale oscillations that correlated well to the established climatic events in global scale. By comparing our record with the Greenland ice core δ18O time series, we detected age offsets at the analogous rapid changes between the two records, which is possibly due to the relatively large age uncertain of the ice-flow model for the Greenland ice cores. Our precise dated ages for the rapid climatic changes have been verified by an Austria speleothem record and 39Ar/40Ar dating results of the Ash layer in the deep sea sediments of the northern Atlantic. Thus our time scale for rapid changes provides age constrains for studies of phase relation between different regional climatic records. Furthermore, our high-resolutionδ18O record, constrained by the annual band counting, indicates a quite different cooling process responding to the Heinrich Event 1 at the high northern latitude, which in turn suggests different climatic responses to the global past climatic changes.
