Fiber bragg grating (FBG) has many applications in the future, but the photosensitive fiber used to fabricate the FBG is very expensive as a high technological product. In our country, some investigators have studied on it, but did not succeed for the uneven photosensitivity along the fiber axis. We consider the cause is that the gyroidal deposit effects in Modified Chemical Vapour Deposition fiber fabrication method used in our country now. Using the blurry control theory, we meliorate the blowtorch routing in MCVD technology and conquer this difficult problem. Simultaneously, a novel photosensitive fiber design is proposed and developed that have both the depressed cladding and the photosensitive inner cladding in the same fiber. It can suppress the cladding mode coupling in some extent. Adjusting the adulterant proportion, we fabricated the B/Ge-codoped photosensitive fiber whose maximum refractive index change can reach to 10-2. Based on this, we also developed the Sn-doped photosensitive fiber and applied it to FBG fabrication successfully. The success of even photosensitive fiber fabraction will bring into being the fiber industrialization of our country.
光纤光栅有极其广泛的应用前景,但制做光纤光栅的光敏光纤在国际上售价极高,国内已有单位研究,但都不成功,原因是国内现有的MCVD沉积工艺存在螺旋式沉积效应,它会导致光纤光粜灾嵯虿痪取N颐墙訫CVD工艺车床采用模糊控制理论来解决这一难题,它的成功将使我国光纤产业的形成起到促进作用。
