Syrrhaptes are models of avian adaptations to extreme environments. They have many adaptations including eco-morphology physiological ecology and life history. Phenotypes are targets of selection and affect the performance of organisms in variable environments; combined, both processes contribute to diversification. Different classes of phenotype vary in how they impact processes such as dispersal, colonization, and persistence, thereby providing a window into the importance of various evolutionary processes in current and historical selective environments. Their reproductive parameters, sandgrouse mobility. We use metagenome, comparative genomics, breeding ecology and satellite track to research sandgrouse’s breeding ecology, population dynamics and diversity, and investigate the relationship between natural selection and evolution adaptation. These results would provide evidence that adaptation to extreme is complex and that multiple pathways and mechanisms might be involved. We provide a good example for understanding adaptive evolution of birds and ecological speciation driven by natural habitat selection, but also provide critical genetic resources for further functional analyses of the genes identified here.
沙鸡属是鸟类适应极端环境的模式物种。在长期进化过程中积累了许多荒漠适应和极端环境的生态形态、生理生态、生活史策略。表型是环境选择的目标同时影响物种的行为包括迁移,繁殖,因此为我们提供了当前和历史不同进化生物过程。本研究利用宏基因组,基因组,繁殖生态学,卫星跟踪等研究沙鸡的繁殖生物学,种群动态和多样性,探讨自然选择和适应性进化的关系。本项研究将对沙鸡属遗传多样性进行评估,演化历史、与环境的关系、对极端环境的适应性进化,为物种多样性做出贡献,并为将来这些基因的功能研究提供了参考。
