Late Cenozoic uplift of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and Quaternary climatic oscillations are two major historical events on Yunnan Plateau. Different regions on the Yunnan Plateau responded uniquely to each period of late Cenozoic uplift of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, however, we know very little about the biological consequences of this complex geological history. Evidence revealed that there are refugia in Hengduan Mountain range during Pleistocene climatic oscillation, but no clue told us what the glaciation was like on Yunnan Plateau. In this study, we examine the evolutionary history of Calleulla yunnanensis to ellucidating hypotheses involving the following questions: (i) whether population in different Yunnan Plateau experienced different population history, which is corresponded with its complex geological history? And what about Quaternary climatic oscillations? Which is the main driver in determining the genetic structure of Calleulla yunnanensis? (2) Combined with the published data, discussion is needed to investigate the response of species codistributed in Yunnan Plateau to common historical factors from a comparative phylogeographic perspective. Our study will help us better understand the amphibians microevolution.
晚新生代青藏高原隆升和第四纪冰期是云南高原经历的两大主要历史事件。云南高原对晚新生代青藏高原隆升过程的响应在不同地区和不同时期是有差异的。而这种复杂的地质历史对物种系统地理结构与群体历史的影响,我们知之甚少。第四纪,横断山区有冰期生物避难所存在,云南高原其他区域又是怎样的,我们同样一无所知。本项目拟通过对主要分布在云南高原的两栖动物云南小狭口蛙(Calleulla yunnanensis)的系统地理结构及遗传多样性的研究,阐述以下科学问题:(1)云南高原不同区域不同的地质演化历史,是否也使得云南小狭口蛙不同区域的群体经历了不同的演化历史?第四纪冰期对不同区域群体的演化影响是否不同?地质历史事件和第四纪冰期哪个对云南小狭口蛙的进化历史的影响更大?(2)利用已发表数据,从比较生物地理学角度,探讨同域分布的物种对共同的历史因素响应的特点。我们的研究将有助于人们更好的了解两栖动物的微观进化。
