Boundary Layer Transition is one branch of turbulence which is considered as the last.problem of the classic physics. A set of observations including the first, second closed vorticesformation, the dynamical processes on the formation of both the streamwise vortices and the chainof ring vortices; and the periodical breakdown of chain of ring vortices are obtained by accidentfor the first time. On the basis of these basic structures, a possible universal transitional scenariowas established.
边界层转捩过程中长条带的产生发展和破裂的研究涉及到湍流发生的根本原因,申请者认为现阶段是揭示转捩机理的最关键的研究方向之一,因而本研究具有重要物理意义和前景。
