Quantitative ultrasound bone strength measurement is a promising method for discriminating osteoporosis because of portability and non-radiation. But the widespread use is restricted by the low accuracy. Based on the previous research on measurement of dry ultrasonic bone strength, the purpose of this study is to improve the accuracy by adding the influence of nonlinear phenomenon. In order to address this comprehensively, we will conduct the following works. First, we construct the measuring platform of nonliner parameter B/A, and the relations bewteen normalized B/A and bone strength is studied. Second, the comprehensive evaluation model of bone strength is establised based on the information integration of linear and nonlinear ultrasound parameters, which can improve the accuracy of bone strength measurement. Third, a follow-up study on the effect of temperature on the measurement of bone strength is also made to build the correction model. The completion of this project will bring popularity of ultrasonic bone strength measurement in the field of public health, and have important application prospect in the field of prevention and cure of osteoporosis.
定量超声法检测骨强度具有低成本、无辐射等优点,是骨质疏松症早期筛查的理想方法,但由于精确度不高制约了其普及推广。本项目基于前期全干式超声骨强度测量方法的研究,从被忽视的非线性效应入手,改进定量超声技术,提高检测精度。主要研究内容包括:构建非线性参量B/A评价骨强度的试验平台,研究归一化非线性参量B/A和骨骼强度之间的规律;将归一化非线性参量B/A与传统线性参量(BUA、SOS)进行融合,建立融合了线性效应和非线性效应的骨强度综合评价模型,提高现有QUS测量骨强度的精确性;探索温度变化对骨强度综合评价模型的影响机制并建立校正模型,提高测量信度。本研究有望促进超声骨强度检测技术在大众健康领域的普及推广,对骨质疏松的防治具有重要应用价值。
本项目基于前期全干式超声骨强度测量方法的研究,以改进定量超声技术,提高检测精度为研究目标开展了系列研究工作。主要研究内容包括:搭建线性和非线性参量评价骨强度的试验平台,研究各参量和骨骼强度之间的规律,提取可以表征骨强度的多元参量,并建立和验证了融合多元信息的骨强度综合评价模型,提高了现有定量超声技术测量骨强度的精确性;在此基础上,研究温度、性别、年龄、身体成分等因素对骨强度的影响机制,为骨质健康促进的运动干预方案奠定了基础。本研究有望促进超声骨强度检测技术在大众健康领域的普及推广,对骨质疏松的防治具有重要应用价值。
