A micro-model for urban traffic noise prediction was developed and validated based on more than 600 hours of surveyed data. The model is valid for predicting road traffic noise levels Leq and L10 with a mean error of less than 2.5 dBA. In comparison with the FHWA and CRTN88 models, the model is more suitable to local conditions (vehicles, roads, traffic pattern and environmental standards). A applied system integrating GIS and noise prediction model was also developed. In this system, noise model is developed using GIS language and concepts, which is significantly useful in noise design considerations. Traffic noise in a sample housing estate was evaluated using classic methods such as day-night noise levels, mean noise levels, standard noise indexes etc. Statistical methods were used to analyze the temporal, spatial and probability distributions of traffic noise. 道路交通噪声严重影响城市人居环境质量,如何对其进行准确预测和客观评价,是城市、环境和工程上普遍关心的问题。本项目拟在实地监测、数理统计和理论研究的基础上,建立城市道路交通噪声预测与评价的微观模型和宏观模型。并结合地理信息系统技术,探索其评价与预测的新方法。研究成果在环境评价、噪声规划与防治等方面具有理论价值和应用潜力。
