This grant application reviews JIPB''s publication practices and future goals, development potential, targets and development plans, as well as the measures taken to achieve these objectives. The current situation for JIPB is as follows: The Journal has an international editorial board (total of 75 members; chief editor and associate editors are well-known experts; rate of foreign editors is 61%) and an international editorial office (one editorial staff from USA); JIPB''s international contributors and publication rates have increased to 57% of the total published material largely by organizing thematic special issues according to research focus; the manuscript management system has been greatly improved; the cover design, content, layout and editing quality has reached the standard of international scientific journals; the Journal was promoted by organizing an international symposium on Integrative Plant Biology and by organizing a series of workshop activities, focusing on topics such as writing scientific papers etc.; the JIPB website has been further improved by highlighting our Free Access (FA) policy, immediate online publication of accepted articles, and Early View access of articles ready for publication. There are currently more than 12,400 registered users of JIPB from many countries and regions worldwide. The annual download rate of JIPB papers is almost 113,000 and international views have reached 233,000. The SCI impact factor for 2010 has been calculated at 1.603. JIPB has also been appointed by the China Association for Science and Technology as one of the top 5 journals six years in a row. JIPB has been indexed by 66 international databases such as MEDLINE, Google Scholar, SCI, CA, BA and BIOSIS, etc.

从JIPB的现状、发展潜力、预期目标和发展计划、采取的措施等方面，论述了此期刊的办刊实践与未来目标。建成国际化编委会（编委75人，主编及副主编为国内外知名专家，外籍编委占61%）和国际化编辑部（引进一名美国编辑）；根据学科研究热点，策划主题专刊，国际投稿率已达57%；不断完善稿件管理系统；封面设计、内容编排和编校质量已向国际主流期刊迈进；通过举办“国际整合植物生物学”品牌化研讨会以及科技论文写作培训等系列活动，宣传期刊；网站建设中突出开放存取（OA），接受文章即时上网，完成编校的文章在线提前发表；发行量和国际影响力不断提升，国内外用户已超过1.2万余家，遍及全球40多个国家和地区，2011年，全文下载量达到11.3万次，摘要下载量达到23.3万次，并连创新高；已被MEDLINE、Google Scholar、SCI、CA、BA、BIOSIS等66个国际主要检索系统收录。

Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB) 是我国植物学领域中的最优秀期刊之一。在2013-2014年受国家自然科学基金 “重点学术期刊专项基金” 资助期间，该刊编委会及编辑部继续推行了期刊的国际化发展。主要举措及成效表现为：加强编委会国际化建设，国际编委占比已达62%；重视加强编辑力量，引进一位美国籍编辑，提高了编辑与校对质量；通过召开国际编委会会议，商讨期刊发展策略；根据学科研究热点策划出版了7期主题专刊；举办“第三届国际整合植物生物学学术研讨会”和两期“科学论文写作规范培训班”。不断提高文章质量与期刊影响，2014年国外投稿数量占稿件总数的36％；国内外订户不断扩大，现有订户1.43万家；SCI的影响因子稳定上升，2014年为3.448；2012-2014年获中国科协期刊国际影响力提升计划计划支持；2013年，JIPB获得由国家新闻出版广电总局授予的全国“百强科技报刊”称号及“中国出版政府奖提名奖”。
