The characters of CuCr contact is dependent of its process.It is a new method that CuCr alloy were made from oxides of Cu and Cr by thermit with a stage of electromagnet casting. Of course, it is nessery to study the basic theory of the process to make CuCr alloy commercily in the method.The progress in CuCr alloy as a contact material was analysized . The viscosities of Al2O3-CaO and Al2O3-CaO-MgO systems were measured by ZC-1600, the model of estimation viscosity of the systems was built and is able to describe the experimental results. The thermit dynamics of Al-CuO、Al-Cr2O3和Al-CuO-Cr2O3 were studied by DTA technigue. The experimental equipment of electromagnet casting was built of NdFeB magnet and the solidification of CuCr melt made by thermit were studied in the quipment, the microconstructure of CuCr alloy was improved. The CuCr ingots of φ70 were gained and the each of them was 3㎏ or so.
